Premiering at the 2008 Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition, Shade presents a dialogue between photography and drawing. Can a photograph become a drawing? At what point does a drawing become a photograph?
About Face is a raw, intense process-driven photo-based series of ‘portraits’ that are inversely autobiographical, challenging photography as the arbiter of truth and questioning its preoccupation for how things appear, rather than what they are.
A playful exploitation of found and distorted source material collaged and exaggerated by scale Red Fish, Blue Fish challenges lineage, authorship and authenticity.
This series is based on original photographs of the UNESCO World Heritage Site and final destination of the Camino de Santiago.
This conventional film-based photo essay shot in the fall of 2001 interprets Berlin’s collective and conflicted conscience and shifting urban landscape as a metaphor for cultural memory.
